On February 1, 2017, the iconic Morrison Hotel Gallery once again became on the pulse of culture, combining music, film, photography and art for a one-of-a-kind night at Dream Downtown's rooftop PH-D Lounge.
Co-hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Darryl DMC McDaniels and Morrison Hotel Gallery co-owner and photographer Timothy White, this exclusive event will include an exhibition and sale featuring images of Hip-Hop legends, curated by Timothy White, with photographs by White, Danny Clinch, Janette Beckman, Clay Patrick McBride, Lynn Goldsmith and others.
There will be a performance by 17-year old rapper Mason Dean, Hudson Valley hip-hop artist and performance poet Decora and Darryl DMC McDaniels of Run-DMC - the kings of hip-hop - featuring some of Run-DMC's historic Hip-Hop music and original songs.
The evening, which is being sponsored by White Girl Wines, will include a showing of a compilation of classic Hip-Hop video footage from the 80's and 90's that brings back the essence of that era. It's so much more than a party. It's an experience.
After the event, Parental Advisory: Explicit Images will be displayed at Morrison Hotel Gallery's SoHo loft and in the gallery area of the lobby at Dream Downtown throughout the month of February.
