Been wondering what’s been happening in the art world? So have we! Turns out Ackerman’s Fine Art has been making huge strides.
Thursday, June 8th, Ackerman’s Fine Art celebrated the opening of a new gallery space in Purchase, New York. Founder Kenny Ackerman hosted an intimate summer reception, which featured a one-of-a-kind collection of paintings and sculptures by Impressionist, Modern, American and Contemporary artists.
In particular, the gallery showcased Fernando Botero’s sculptures, Gil Elvgren’s pin-up art, Robert Indiana’s Love sculptures, Bertrand Meniel’s photo realist works and Marc Chagall’s iconic Les Musiciens du Marriage. Other master artists featured included Bernard Buffer, Jean Dufy, Jim Dine, John Falter, Joseph Levendecker, Gustave Loiseau, Henry Moret, Grandma Moses and Andy Warhol.
The celebration matched the fineness of the art. Right through the door, guests were greeted by one of Deborah Butterfield’s horse sculptures. Each one is made from found objects. Guests included esteemed art collectors, aficionados, friends and family. All of whom enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres from Stamford, a Connecticut-based Best in Gourmet. Cajun parmesan shrimp and spinach and fontina stuffed mushrooms were fan favorites.
The event was sponsored by Frederick C. Veit, Esq. of The CFS Group and Andrew J. Cavaliere of Keystone Financial Advisors.
