On Saturday, March 31, 2018, the African-American Women in Cinema Film Festival held an important panel and film screenings at St. Francis College in Brooklyn.
In support of the #MeToo movement, AAWIC held a discussion from "#AAWICToo: Dealing with Sexual Abuse, Misconduct, and Harassment in Entertainment and Beyond."
As a result of the recent upsurge in the awareness of sexual harassment, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct in entertainment and beyond have sparked national outrage and mobilize voices to activate awareness and change of those who have been affected by this level of abuse. This panel will discuss the issues at hand as well as possible resolutions.
Moderated by Dana Roberts Ross, the panelist included: Andria Mayberry, Dr. O, and Eva McFadden. After, the panels, there were a few screenings.

The screenings also included the films: A Second Letter and The Spotlight. At the conclusion of the evening, the Audience Award was given to the film Maynard.
