About me
Sophie Reid is a senior broadcast journalist with over a decade of experience serving global broadcasters, including the BBC, NPR, American Public Media, WHYY, WNYC and Bloomberg. A staff journalist at the BBC from 2005 to 2012, Sophie's roles included BBC Senior Radio Producer in North America and Senior Broadcast Journalist at BBC Radio. Sophie's freelance reporting has featured on BBC Radio's From Our Own Correspondent, American Public Media's Marketplace, Refinery29 and WHYY’s The Pulse.
Sophie is also a lecturer in communications and advanced public speaking at The Wharton School.
Sophie began her career as an international finance lawyer in London and Madrid, and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with Distinction from the University of Pennsylvania and a First Class Honors degree in English Literature from Cardiff University.
Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Sophie now lives in the United States with her husband and two dogs.
