When you are looking to know the dynamics of getting hired, there will be too many points that you will come across. Here, I am going to shift my focus on one such question which is believed to carry a lot of weightage. If you have been to interviews before, you are likely to have been asked as to why we should hire you. Now, there are a lot of reasons as to why the interviewer asks this question.

First of all, they may want to see as to how you rate your own skills. Until and unless, they are convinced that you see yourself in a positive light and your confidence is shooting the sky, they are not likely to hire you. When you are being interviewed for a job, it isn’t just your technical skills that are factored into the equation. There are so many other aspects too which have to be controlled and this is why your behavioral aspects will be taken into the equation too.

Whenever you answer this question, you need to behave properly. Your confidence should ooze from your reply and it should be very clear as to what you mean and how honest you are. Do not beat around the bush and do not show any signs of nervousness while answering this question. This is a crucial question and so you should keep an eye on some of the important points.

Secondly never underestimate or look down upon other applicants. You do not really know how qualified they are and what skills they possess. So, when answering, never compare yourself to other applicants because this is one risk which is best avoided.

When you are answering the question, remember you are your own competitor and you should list the skills and capabilities which you have. Doing this will definitely trigger the right kind of impact and it will surely help you look a whole lot more prepared and calm.
