  • We implemented principles of transparency for the recruitment, appointment and promotion of all senior leadership positions
  • We enabled data visibility of gender balance for all Executive members and HR Business Partners through monthly reviewed dashboards to offer insight and review progress towards our gender goals
  • A company-wide training on unconscious bias awareness is part of the long-term program to create an ongoing dialogue in teams that will help us build and foster that inclusive environment.
  • We are revitalizing and growing our existing and new employee resource groups
  • We will develop a global mentoring framework to create structure, stimulate new connections and mutual learning to develop and progress diverse talent (fueling collaboration)
  • We will build on our Women’s Leadership programs with a focus on networking and sponsoring by males and females

When the global pandemic forced us to go remote, it gave us an opportunity to do what we do best: innovate by co-creating. We applied this to the way we work. At Philips, we now have three main role categories – on-site, mobile, and, hybrid, which replaces previously office-based roles. Hybrid working fuses flexibility with collaboration and helps our people meet the changing demands of work and home in the most balanced, productive, and healthy way. We’re embracing an approach where we spend more time together than apart. For our hybrid roles, this translates to an average of three days working from the office and two days from home for full-time employees*.


Our hybrid working model is defined in 3 ways:

Impactful collaboration: There's an energy when everyone’s in the same room that can heighten creative problem solving. That’s why we have physical hubs around the world where people can come together.  

Embracing flexibility: Choosing where, when and how to work can vary according to task and team schedules. Flexibility isn’t office or online, it’s choosing the space that works best for you, your teams and our customers on a case-by-case basis.
