Our teams are stronger whenever and wherever women are present and we have a range of initiatives and programs to empower women inside and outside PepsiCo. We are committed to increasing women in the workforce and have set a target to achieve gender parity in management roles by 2025, as well as achieve pay equity in line with our commitment to the White House Equal Pay Pledge. To further foster diversity within the workforce, we created Ready to Return, a 10-week paid program designed for experienced professionals who have been out of the corporate workforce for more than two years and are looking to return.
We are also committed to inspiring women and girls to seek out and stay on the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) path. Research shows that women who have support and mentorship opportunities are less likely to give up when studying math and science and more likely to seek out STEM careers. One way we provide this support is by partnering with STEMconnector®’s Million Women Mentors (MWM), an initiative that supports the engagement of millions of STEM mentors (male and female) to increase the interest and confidence of girls and women to persist and succeed in STEM programs and careers by 2020.
