"Don't feed the troll" is the best answer.  See this: http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Don%27t_feed_the_Troll

Hey Sarah, this is terrible! What you'll need to do depends on the email service. If you let me know what email service it is, I can help you more!

Real talk. 👍 One of the survivor leaders of sex trafficking I work for often opens her speaking engagements half jesting with "No I wasn't abducted like the movie 'Taken' and I am from America, from the south side of Chicago matter of fact. I had great adoptive parents, I wasn't brought here from another country" etc because there have been several times at a non speaking engagement or even sometimes at speaking events where people will come up to our booth we're running for example and ask those very questions. Such as we get asked "So what country are you from?" They don't quite yet grasp or realize such victimization happens in America by American criminals. Usually we don't take the questions personal and try our best at that moment to educate, it's just the expression brought on by the portrayal that is played out by film, media, tv, books, etc on what the narrative is or "should be" of survivorhood. It has it's roots in the idealization of what a survivor looks like and is.
