About me
After earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College, Dr. Loretta Itri completed a residency at SUNY-Stony Brook and a fellowship in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She began her career at Hoffman La Roche, Inc. where she oversaw clinical development of the company’s immunology, infectious disease, and hematology-oncology programs. Dr. Loretta Itri has also held positions with Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiary, Ortho Biotech, Inc.
Currently, Dr. Loretta Itri serves as the Executive Vice President of Global Health Science and Regulatory Affairs for The Medicines Company, Inc. based in Parsippany, New Jersey. Her recent regulatory work includes managing the approval of six major new drugs, biologics, and/or devices in the first half of 2015 alone. She is also responsible for Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Operations and Medical Information.
A substantial contributor to research in her field, Dr. Itri has written more than 130 articles, abstracts, and book chapters on topics related to pharmaceutical development.
