Mission

La Colombe's mission is simple - change the world by making people happy. What started out as a vision for serving the best coffee, became an opportunity to influence meaningful, long-lasting change and leave this world better than we found it.

Diversity & Inclusion

ADVOCATING FOR EQUITY

We believe in equity for people and groups that have long been marginalized and amplifying organizations and causes that uplift voices that go unheard.

LA COLOMBE’S EQUITY COUNCIL

We formed our internal Equity Council to amplify, organize, and activate La Colombe’s internal and external efforts to promote social justice and dismantle the causes of inequality and racism.

#BLACKLIVESMATTER

We are committed to the protection and empowerment of Black lives across our communities. We released a special-edition of our Lyon coffee the ACLU’s efforts to fight racial injustice across the country. As a company, we’re dedicated to raising our voices to stop violence and police brutality against the Black community.

LIFTING WOMEN UP

We believe in the advancement and equality of women. In honor of Women’s History Month in 2020, we released two coffees benefiting the ACLU’s Women’s Rights Project which pushes for change and systemic reform in institutions that perpetuate discrimination against women, focusing its work in the areas of employment, violence against women, and education.

LGBTQ+

We honor the history of the Pride movement and are committed to lending our voice to equal rights and treatment of LGBTQ+ people. During Pride Month in 2019, we commemorated the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising through special cups at our cafes across the country, designed by Todd Snyder as an extension of their #TSPride campaign. We’re excited to find meaningful ways to contribute to LGBTQ+ Pride, both inside and outside Pride Month.

Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary + bonus and long-term equity incentive, we offer a competitive benefits package and unique perks, including comprehensive health insurance, generous 401(k) match options, paid time off, professional and tuition reimbursement, and free coffee!

Social impact

NOURISH THE NEIGHBORHOOD

We're proud to support Feeding America in their mission to fight food insecurity and do all that we can to feed our hungry neighbors. As part of our commitment, $2 of every special-edition Lyon box will go to the organization for a minimum and maximum donation of $150,000 by June 2022.

EMPOWERING OUR COMMUNITIES

We’re committed to building, strengthening, and healing communities where we live and work. Whether it be hosting neighborhood events, lending our voice to support local causes, or providing momentary relief through coffee donations, we aim to use our influence to further the shared values of our community.

CARING FOR OUR PLANET

We believe in leaving a better world for future generations. Sustainability is top of mind in our cafes, roasting and warehouse facilities. Through sustainable packaging, environmentally-friendly practices, and support of our country’s most valued outdoor landmarks, the National Parks, we aim to create a better world by eliminating waste and preserving our environment.

APPRECIATION OF ORIGIN

We believe in investing in, uplifting, and protecting the treasured communities we source our coffee from who are being hit hardest by economic strife, climate change, and other issues. Through responsible sourcing practices, investment in infrastructure and education at origin, and direct communication with producers, we aim to improve and uphold the wellbeing of coffee-growing communities who contribute so much to our industry and culture.
