We are looking for a Senior Manager AML Compliance Initiatives, Strategy and Planning, based at Western Union’s global headquarters in Englewood, Colorado.
 
What you will get to do:
The Senior Manager for Compliance Initiatives, Strategy and Planning, will lead and coordinate major Compliance projects, programs or processes with significant business/ Compliance impact.  You will report directly to Global Director for Agent Oversight.
 
To be successful in this role, you will collaborate with policy owners, business function leaders, technical, compliance and operations leads to manage business process and any associated changes relative to the Global Agent Oversight functions.
 
Experience within a global program with a focus on AML/CTF and Anti-Fraud compliance, is a must.
 
In addition, you will:
  • Work in conjunction with management to provides comprehensive solutions to escalated problems or needs in addition to completes complex assignments with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.
  • Coordinate the Global Agent Oversight (GAO) strategic planning processes, including the planning, implementation and evaluation of the (GAO) 's Strategic Plan initiatives.
  • Recommend appropriate resource allocation for the planning and implementation phases of processes and initiatives and assess progress continuously to monitor implementation schedules and issue progress reports.
  • Collaborate with the entire Global Agent Oversight (GAO) ‘s units to establish priorities among the organization’s initiatives.
  • Maintains extensive contact with Global Field Organization (GFO) ‘s leadership, Internal stakeholders and GAO Team   to identify, research, analyze, and resolve complex issues.
  • Schedules and oversees governance processes, including scheduling, Working Groups, Agent Oversight Program exception committee and Ensures effective coordination within assigned work group and with other work groups
Requirements and skills: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or combined experience in retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues required Regulatory, Financial Services experience preferred 10+ years of experience in AML/CFT Compliance
  • Excellent communication skills required: influencing, diplomacy and negotiation
  • Good writing skills in English
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Experience working within a global program, with ability to network and communicate with top management of various functions required
  • Proven interpersonal skills to direct, coach and coordinate culturally diverse teams
  • Detailed understanding of regulatory reporting requirements
  • Highly preferred Compliance Systems and Analytics experience
  • Highly preferred ACAMS Certification
