Summary:  We are seeking a skilled training professional to join our high energy Mac Tools training team.  The Sales Training & Development Manager is responsible for the management and administering of training and development activities for Mac Tools franchisees and field sales personnel.  This position will develop a sales training strategy, develop course curriculum, conduct engaging and highly participative training on a wide variety of topics for sales individuals, while maintaining a culture of learning, growth and collaboration. 
 
Functions / Responsibilities:
 

  • Evaluates, develops, implements and monitors training programs amongst Mac Tools franchisees and field associates to increase individual and organizational performance
  • Designs and delivers learning programs to reflect knowledge in successful sales and business management, both inside and outside of traditional classroom environments
  • Oversees and aids in the development of departmental training materials, including multi-media visual aids and presentations, testing and evaluation processes
  • Strong background in the design, creation and presentation of training courses and the ability to successfully engage an audience using a variety of training methods.
  • Anticipates department needs, challenges and opportunities, providing input on short and long- range training goals
  • Analyzes training program effectiveness and makes the appropriate recommendations
  • Partners with managers across the sales team to assess and identify training needs.
  • Provides leadership through effective communication, motivation, coaching, innovation and goal setting to achieve superior customer service
  • Implements and sustains subsequent learning strategies and objectives
  • Schedules training sessions within individual training programs ensuring facility setup, audiovisual setup and participant notification
  • Develops a means of measuring the effectiveness of sales training programs and implements change as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Essential Skills and Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree, applicable training certification or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years of direct training and training program creation experience preferred
  • Management of sales training programs a plus
  • Ability to accurately and completely communicate the value of a Mac Tools Franchise
  • Knowledge of a mobile distribution business model and/or experience in route sales preferred
  • Broad knowledge of training and development concepts and trends with the ability to apply knowledge to meet organization needs, improve operations and achieve business success
  • Strong background in the design, creation and presentation of training courses and the ability to successfully engage an audience using a variety of training methods.
  • Strong facilitation, teaching and development skills
  • Proven skills to collaborate within and across departments to coordinate training and development activities and resolve problems
  • Interpersonal skills to coordinate closely with other team members to ensure a successful franchise start
  • Self-motivated individual with proven ability to effectively manage, lead and motivate employees
  • Clear ability to communicate with passion, enthusiasm and integrity 
  • Strong project management and customer service skills to manage and lead multiple projects at one time
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility, anticipates and effectively handles change
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability to provide quick solutions
  • Excellent communication and consensus building, a cutting-edge aptitude as a facilitator with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong writing, proofing, and editing skills with a drive for accuracy and details
  • Conflict resolution skills to resolve personnel issues and counsel staff to develop cooperative working relationships
  • Willingness to travel up to 15-25%
