CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. KPIX / KBCW / CBS San Francisco is looking for a dynamic leader with a proven history of developing a strong sales team and growing revenue. This leadership position is responsible for managing local and out of market sales activities for our broadcast and digital platforms. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker, team leader, motivator and be able to work in a collaborative environment with a senior team of managers toward a common goal. Under the direction of the VP / Director of Sales, this position will co-manage the local and out of market sales team to maximize sales revenue across the CBS Local Media assets in the Bay Area and other CBS Local Media markets. Candidate will have a proven track record as a talented leader who empowers, motivates and holds their Account Executives accountable to leverage superior media assets and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals. Candidate is an innovative thinker who formulates short and long term strategies, is highly competent in analytics, leads by example, loves to sell and possesses excellent recruitment skills to attract and retain talented Account Executives. This is a key sales leadership role for the nation’s top media sales organization.
In-depth knowledge of TV and Digital Media sales products and services, research and audience measurement. Must be results-oriented, innovative, demonstrate leadership, and capable of multi-tasking. Media sales management experience in a Top 10 market and national sales experience in TV and Digital Media preferred. Excellent management, leadership, sales and communication skills. Active business relationships with Media Agencies and Marketers on the West Coast. Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word. Bachelor’s degree in Communication or Marketing is preferred.
Must be able to sit at desk and operate a keyboard for an extended period of time. Must be able to travel and/or drive to client meetings and/or presentations. Must be able to effectively communicate (in English) both verbally and in writing.
