Job Description
  • Develop WW Marketing Plan – detailed and plan on a page
  • Work with Industry SMEs to develop IBM’s WW viewpoint on business transformation for an industry
  • Create one WW segmentation of industry and sub-industries
  • Quantify WW segmentation for 5 prioritized local Markets (e.g. how many clients, buyers)
  • Understand major trends for industry that could impact our industry marketing strategy
  • Work with WW Industry GM and team to understand business strategy and desired outcomes
  • Work with Market Sales Leader for the 5 prioritized local Markets to understand business strategy and desired outcomes and to understand geo-specific trends that should be integrated into WW Marketing Plan
  • Understand local Top Accounts, their account plans, Transformational opportunities and key BU opportunities.
  • Understand key WW competitors for industry-specific business transformation
  • Prioritise key “stories” for marketing content and campaign execution
  • Work with IGM, Offering Managers and BU Product Managers to define priority offerings that stories should connect to
  • Define key buyers for each priority “story”
  • Build/Refine buyer persona for target buyers (e.g. global “watering holes”, global influencers)
  • Build IBM unique value proposition for each target buyer
  • Build messaging for each “story”, as input to Content team
  • Build Input Brief for each “story” as starting point for content and campaign creation
  • Define WW RTM strategy, based on overall WW sales and delivery capability – which channels need to be enabled to sell
  • Prioritise WW industry events to reach target audience
  • Support WW Anchor events by defining target audience, event message
  • Regular contact with IGM and core team to ensure clarity of marketing’s deliverables and expectation of sales teams
  • Regular engagement with target Markets to ensure Market buy-in to strategy, allowing Markets to focus on localisation and amplification
  • Regular engagement with key WW Business Units to ensure industry business-transformation campaigns and content are leveraging most relevant offerings
  • Ongoing business development with key Influencers – Internal and External
  • Identify top WW influencers for Industry business transformation

  • Strategic marketing
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Very good communication skills
  • Product Marketing Experience

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Digital marketing skills
