Job Summary 

 

Ericsson is looking for an experienced leader to manage an ASIC development team as part of the ASIC organization located in Austin, Texas. This position reports into the Head of Digital ASIC Austin which is part of the Digital ASIC and FPGA global organization.

The Austin design center develops ASIC and digital IP for our baseband products for all standards.   The organization’s focus is on 5G development with the capability of driving complete ASIC projects along with significant IP deliverables to the global ASIC organization.   The development is done in close cooperation with internal and external stake holders such as standardization teams and market leading silicon vendors and ASIC Design houses.

We are looking for an Experienced, Creative and Innovative leader to help join our world class team. You will have a unique opportunity to help lead/manage across several areas such as verification, systemization, modeling (TLM), RTL-design, integration with exposure to synthesis, timing and SW development.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Mentor, manage and lead ASIC engineers in disciplines such as verification, RTL, integration and/or modeling
  • Recruit and retain capable ASIC developers
  • Collaborate closely with global peers to implement improvements in productivity, quality, capability and project lead times
  • Implement and uphold strong project management principles
  • Deploy and improve Agile/Lean WoW within the global organization 
  • Lead, shape and support site culture

Qualifications 

 

  • ASIC, SoC or FPGA RTL design and/or verification and simulation on sub-system and/or chip level 
  • Fluent in VHDL/Verilog/System Verilog 
  • TLM/System C & C/C+ 
  • Exposure to Synthesis and Timing analysis for ASIC 
  • Multi/Many Core CPU Architecture Knowledge 
  • Experience in leading edge technology nodes (10nm and/or 7nm) 
  • TCL/Python/Perl/etc.… 
  • IT Environment like Linux, ClearCase, LSF 
  • Experience from design to post-SI validation. 
  • Strong team player 
  • Strong technical fundamentals 
  • Exposure to multi-site organizational structures and experience managing communication relationships across them
  • Significant first line management experience
  • Results oriented leadership skills 
  • Understanding of Agile/Lean WoW 

 

Educational Requirements 

 

  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
