Mission

    Our mission is to develop innovators who envision and create a better world. We think the world NEEDS innovators and that kids who learn to explore and fail without fear—the essence of innovation—are happier, more creative and more confident when faced with life’s challenges. They don’t always get this incredible boost in other settings, but thousands of them have been getting it at Galileo since 2002.



Culture

    Sure, our environment is fun and high-functioning. Our teams are interesting, engaged, and passionate about the work we do. We’re a varied group of artists and tinkerers, bibliophiles and nature-lovers, theatre buffs and activists, community-builders and proud first-generation citizens. Some of are lifelong campers, while others never went to or worked at a camp before Galileo.

    Above all else, we’re individuals committed to developing young innovators, and being true innovators ourselves. At its core, innovation requires a few essential tools — an open heart and a growth mindset. We believe that diversity within our camper and staff communities — across race, the gender spectrum, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, and disability — fosters the ever-evolving development of these tools in all of us.

    Our values reflect the same principles we teach our campers—to be visionary, courageous, collaborative, determined, and reflective. Through the consistent application of our values, our high-functioning teams take every opportunity to grow and improve. Our teams believe that the way we work together is just as important as the work itself, which is why we infuse our days with the same joy and wonder that our campers experience.
