About me
A member of the American Psychological Association and the New Jersey Psychological Association, Dr. Christine Cantner treats depression, anxiety, and mood disorders in a variety of populations. Particularly interested in women’s mental health issues, she received specialized training in maternal mental health from the Seleni Institute and is a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders. Since 2017, Dr. Christine Cantner has served as a clinical psychologist at Be Well Morristown, where she utilizes a collaborative, evidence-based approach to treatment that includes cognitive behavior therapy.
A graduate of the University of Virginia, Dr. Cantner received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studies in Women and Gender. She then earned her master’s degree and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, where her dissertation on the family experience of transgender loved ones was nominated for an Outstanding Dissertation Award. Dr. Christine Cantner has provided mental health treatment at outpatient clinics and hospitals throughout New York, which included spending several years as a licensed clinical psychologist at St. Christopher’s, Inc.
