I would always say the truth; you can choose not to say things at certain times and that can help solve the problems you may potentially encounter if you were to say something that would offend another. If you were to always lie, no one would know what your true feelings/intentions were, and not contributing to the conversation wouldn't solve this problem as it would if you were to always speak the truth.

I completely agree with @Mihika Sharma. The truth will always find a way to come out, so it is better to be honest sooner rather than later.

I don’t know. They both create their own individual problems. If you only say the truth you might offend people and they might hate you. You might be left friendless. However if you only lie no one will ever know what you truly want to say. Also lying leads to mistrust so you might be left friendless. I would rather tell the truth because then I wouldn’t feel so guilty for keeping my emotions hidden and everyone would know how I really feel

I would rather always tell the truth. I think that lying just creates more lies and ends up being worse for everyone because of how complex situations get. The truth always comes out – so why not embrace it?
