Why is the Machu Picchu in Peru so famous?
I had a colleague who went there and she said it was very pretty! For somme reason, which I do not remember, she had her noise bleeding because of the pressure at the peak of the mountains or something.
Wow. This is really pretty!
Machu Pichu, built on top of the Urubamba valley in Peru, is famous because it is where the ancient Incas worshipped the sun! As you can see how beautiful it is from the picture above, it is beautifully surrounded by rivers and mountains.
Yes, when you imagine that it was built around 1450, we can wonder how they could do it! This is thee same way people are still asking themselves today how the Egyptians were able to build the pyramids without much of today's modern equipment. Also, this is built at the top of the mountain without any trucks ever existed at the time.
From the wikipedia below, we can read that: "The Incas built the estate around 1450, but abandoned it a century later at the time of the Spanish Conquest. Although known locally, it was unknown to the outside world before being brought to international attention in 1911 by the American historian Hiram Bingham. Since then, Machu Picchu has become the largest tourist attraction in South America."
