WashUSexualAssaultPolicy

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the university's sexual assault reporting policy.  I've heard that complaints can't be brought against the same person together, only individually, and I don't know how I feel about that.

From what I can tell, the process is a different experience for everyone. Some people find it more draining than others, some people are unable to finish it, some people regret going through it, and others are glad they went through with it. It's definitely not for everyone, but going through it provides our campus with a valuable resource. If you are thinking about going through it, I would definitely suggest talking to people who have been through it if you can as well as the title 9 coordinator.

I know that Kim Webb is very good about contacting professors for you, and getting you out of classes without a W, so you can drop a class if you need to without a penalty. The university made some changes recently that are much better, like the policy now where you never have to see your assailant at all.

I've heard about how cases can't be brought together, and it can seem frustrating, but they do try to make it as supportive as possible. You never actually have to see your assailant, and they issue a no contact order during the process so you don't have to worry about him harassing you in any way. There are some good resources available. I know a lot of people who have talked to Kim Webb and thought doing so was a good experience.
