Recently, we had a university fair at my school's library. When i entered that room, I suddenly felt so overwhelmed, and a recurring thought came to my head: "What am I going to be in a few years? Where am I going to go?" I can say that i have a slight idea of what I want to be and where i want to be, but i'm not SURE.
Then, I just took a deep breath and started walking towards the stands. One by one. Asking information and grabbing pamphlets. I realized that I might be nervous, but I can't let that stop me. I must thrive; and since I have decided I want to be an engineer,- a career where there isn't a lot of female representation considering that of men- I will work hard to represent my sisters and prove to society that we can do the work just as good and efficiently as men can.
That is why, in times like this, always find the reason to ignore those fears and walk ahead with your head held high and confidence rushing through your veins. Be brave, be you.
