Hi! I'm Harris Faulkner. I'm an award-winning broadcast journalist on FOX News Channel. You might have seen me co-hosting the show Outnumbered weekdays from Noon to 1pm ET, the online show Outnumbered Overtime weekdays at 1pm ET, or on Fox Report Weekend on Sundays at 7pm ET.

Over the years, I've had the chance to cover multiple stories, including the 2013 government shutdown, the online election coverage of President Barack Obama's second State of the Union address, as well as the vice presidential debate and election night. I've also covered the death of Whitney Houston, the fall of Tripoli in 2011, and the death of North Korea's Kim Jong-Il.

Before Fox News, I was a correspondent for WNYW-TV's (FOX 5) A Current Affair and was a substitute host on The Nancy Grace Show on HLN. I've worked for other stations across the US throughout my career, but it all began for me when I was an anchor and reporter in Greenville, NC at WNCT-TV (CBS 9).

Today, I'm a broadcast journalist who has received six Emmy Awards, including the 2004 Emmy for Best Newscaster and Best News Special. In 1998, I received the Amelia Earhart Pioneering Lifetime Achievement Award for my humanitarian efforts.

I graduated from The University of California at Santa Barbara with a B.A. in mass communications.

Now's your chance to ask me anything! Please write your questions in the comments section below and I'll answer the questions live on Wednesday, February 22nd at 2pm ET.

HI TWMOXLEY, great question. And inherently, I must pose another question: Will it even matter because is there now real viability for a third party? Clearly the Democrats are suffering from confusion and division as a socialist-flavored leader in Sen Bernie Sanders had to be surreptitiously quieted to keep him from posing too much of a threat to the establishment candidate that the Left wanted. And, President Trump showed establishment Republicans that Americans really did want an political outsider. So, where will all the millions who did not vote or who lost this past election go next time if they are not in love with either party? I can say this in answer to your question more directly-- Research has shown that most people grow more Conservative as they age and our population is rapidly getting older. Look at this US Census stat: Between 2012 and 2050, the United States will experience considerable growth in its older population. In 2050, the population aged 65 and over is projected to be 83.7 million, almost double its estimated population of 43.1 million in 2012. The baby boomers are largely responsible for this increase in the older population, as they began turning 65 in 2011

Let's start this thing with a question from Bethany! Favorites about working at Fox News: 1. our bench of talented people is deep. Feel like I learn something new or see something from a different perspective every day. For example, I was talking with Bret Baier (anchor SPECIAL REPORT) recently and his take on American political parties and their place right now was mind opening. 2. I can be myself and ask questions on air at will 3. After 10 years, it is still the place on cable TV which has the most variance of perspectives and voices. THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION!!- HF

LAST ANSWER FROM ME TODAY! Thanks for the question: Hello Natasha-- Get involved by listening to and reading political news and commentary which brings every point of view: Republican, Democrat, Independent, Liberatarian. When you find what fits your values you will be interested in the outcomes for your town, state... our nation. Be curious and hang out with people who are also curious about our history and where we capable of going! Bless you on your journey. -HF

Great question Namisha. The dialogue right now more often than not, mean spirited, divided and non-productive. I see people arguing in just about every corner of life... at home, at the playground, in restaurants-- you name it. Debate is healthy and necessary. But, the vitriol is destructive. It does begin in some parts with the part of the media who are journalists. So, let me say this and it won't be popular with many who say they do "news": the Mainstream Media can include bloggers, opinion artists, journalists like me and others. So, I don't take it personally when the current administration calls us names. My job is to find the facts and the truth and report it. It is not my job to be liked by an administration or others in the MSM. Thanks for your question! HF

Hello John! To catch everyone up on what happened when I was anchoring in Kansas City, here's a quick blurb that was written in local papers about my ordeal: One night Harris had a face-to-face confrontation with her stalker when she discovered him inside her apartment. They struggled until her screams chased him away. That night Harris thought he was going to kill her. It was then she saw he had rifled through her pictures and saw telltale signs he had been entering her apartment when she wasn’t home. She discovered he had done his laundry in her home. Her stalker was arrested. “While he was in jail, I moved and bought a gun. He was furious once he was released and began his harassment anew. The phone calls resumed and I sensed a more deadly and dangerous edge to them,” explained the newscaster. WHAT GOT ME THRU IT: My faith that God would keep His promise to be with me through the trials and tribulations; bless me with His supernatural favor and answer my prayers for strength and peace if I just believed and loved Him back. Full disclosure, God and I had a few fights... I just couldn't understand why it was all happening. But, that faith walk even with the potholes is what gets me through anything/everything now. Thanks John, HF

HI Lyrexwriter! Thank you for the compliment. Oddly, over the years and on occasion, I've been invited to sing just one song-- the National Anthem. It started at a KC Chiefs v Tampa Bay NFL game... then an NBA game. Growing up Brat (military dependent) on Army bases, the Anthem was the first song I fell in love with as a kid. Here's a taste of me singing and leading some children the weekend of 9/11: http://video.foxnews.com/v/5106045858001/?#sp=show-clips

Romanov this is a fun question to answer! Thanks. So... after our first show, we thought we'd try a little extra time online as some shows do to see if people who don't watch TV might catch us on a device at work etc... It is live (but then plays on a loop for 24 hours until we do it live again) and getting people's attention was a challenge because no one believed we were looking at comments and replying live to twitter and our online chat. So I just belted out something that explained Overtime to them and got a little over excited. Here's what I'm talking about, my joy runneth over LOL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pNpXNcCI3U

HI Jess! So, I married into an Arizona family and for the first time faced the struggles at the border. Having people cross illegally into our amazing nation can be burdensome, dangerous and costly. But, it has been and likely will continue to be a reality. The magnet of attaining a better life from some of the hell holes people flee, is strong. And, I have a heart for those wanting to come here and live out their dreams. At the same time, we have laws. And, while some previous administrations have not always upheld those laws, the promise of the current man in the White House, is that he will. What does that mean? Well, legal immigrants who sacrifice and wait their turn will get their turn. illegals, especially those who further break out laws, will get sent out. It's complicated because most of us know someone who wants to be an American citizen. What needs to happen is that as citizens we communicate the importance of doing it the right way so, we can all celebrate together.

I really think that the answer is going back to the foundation of the problem. The President should shift the responsibility to the individual governments foresaking their people. In the case of Mexico, which is a resource rich country with century-ingrained political corruption. It's important for us to push back against the powers of globalism which demand we give to others, whether we want to or not and in their own terms.

Hello Julie S.- Short answer, YES! I'm also very happy anchoring Fox Report Sundays in prime time and co-hosting a show filled with strong women, Outnumbered. In all honestly, family reasons would lead me to exchange my six-day schedule for a prime time show weekdays/nights. But, these days news is 24/7 especially with a new and very active administration. So, I'm truly glad to be a journalist across two shows at such an important time. Thanks for the question! HF

Thank you AHC328 for the question and the inherent compliment! It's funny, I have loved telling other people true stories since I was in first grade. My parents said I would volunteer to read the newspaper at the breakfast table to tell the family all the headlines. They would laugh when I would express frustration at bad grammar and typos! But, it communicated to me that someone with a keen eye needed to check the facts even in the morning paper-- I WAS RIGHT. It's easy to protect your objectivity when you are naturally curious, care about getting stuff right and genuinely detest deception. That's how I do it any way. -HF

The issue of separating illegals from their children seems to be a sticking point. If a mother or father break the law, or commit a crime they get sent to prison and are separated from their children. How is breaking the immigration law any different?

Love this question! J-O-B-S. When people-- ALL PEOPLE-- are able to pursue their dreams and happiness through viability and prosperity, the society as a whole benefits. That's my personal belief and something that I've experienced as an individual. Times in my life when thoughts of anger, victimization and self pity have risen up in my soul, were often when I felt helpless to live out my own purpose. Mom used to say about racial strife, "Don't hate another because you are doing what you love." But, she also knew this fact: We all need opportunity. So, if this current President can spur an opportunity-generating economy and atmosphere, that will go a long way to easing the dissension over the things which make us all different, like race, religion, sexual orientation or whatever.

Hi Dianna, They say that because they don't understand how to deal with differences. If comes low self esteem. When you feel good about your own journey, intellect, abilities, you have no desire or time to tear anyone else down. Their hands might be idle but, their minds are crowded with worry that *they are not enough*. I teach my girls not to try to break a thing or a person to make yourself feel whole. By the way, I have more Holstein print that any human should be allowed LOL! -HF

Gordon, you ask important questions about the role journalists in particular can play in healing a great divide. It's about shining a light on the lessening of power and voice for women and young girls. Look at Nigeria where they take women like dogs to wilderness, hide them and do unspeakable acts to them. Look at the sex trade around the globe. You are right it's about education. 1. As journalists we can show the stories and ignite a fury about the wrongs. 2. When we can talk with women about the laws and beliefs which enslave and imprison them physically and psychologically, it is critical. Where is the discussion you ask? My instinct tell me that the problem is daunting and rather than fixing a tiny part, no one knows exactly where to start. But, I think you begin with the storytelling.

Gordon, you ask important questions about the role journalists in particular can play in healing a great divide. I joined this site to hear what you had to say on a variety of topics, because I respect what you have to say, and how you say it. Unfortunately, shortly after registering for the site I received an email from saying Mogul is teaming up with women everywhere and sending a Vagina statue to the whitehouse..........I want no part of this type of repugnant behavior.

If the Fox News (& Fox Business) channel were not an option, what other news network would you suggest for your audience to watch in it's place?

Hi and congrats for all the great achievements. I was wondering...could you name some of the obstacles you encountered in this industry? And perhaps how you managed to overcome them?

How do you advise building a brand as a TV personality? How did you build your brand as a broadcast journalist?

Harris, what an amazing woman you have become. You are such a good role model. I watch you and am always comfortable listening to you. You never make it about you. You always make it about the news. Congratulations on your achievements and best wishes for your future. My question is: Is there censorship in the media that prevents the truth from being reported when it comes to trafficking of children and women? When will the truth be reported so that our government can start to make this horrific crime be addressed with proper legislation?

Love watching you every Sunday, as an objective journalist why are there no investigations into John McCain corruption? I'm not a journalist and have discovered untold amount of information that indicates he is being paid by G. Soros, to cause disruption in the republican party. Does he get a pass because his daughter is working for FOX?? Corruption should not be partisan its a political corruption issue that does cross isles.

Hi Harris! My question is: I would like to know why there are school districts (one here in my state of NJ) in this country who have included the teaching of the Islam Religion? This should not be happening! Especially since pray of any sort is forbidden...... PS thank Megan McCain for voicing how the people who cast a vote for our President feel about the constant badgering insults thrown at our intelligence with regards to our choice of path our country should take. For a long time the average to clinging to middle class American's have seen their lifestyle being attacked and forced to thinking their opinions and existence was being nothing more than tolerated... You heard Hillary Clinton's description of us. Will those demonstrating ever acknowledge we exist and that the President is representing us! And our very fragile existence.... Love your shows

My question is: how can anyone take a protest serious when the bulk of the participants are paid agitators. Doesn't the fact they are being paid negate their qualification as a protestor? In my mind protestors object to the point of volunteering to participate in the organized protest. That's why they should be heard. When they are paid they are not there because they actually object. So why bother to pay attention to their message Thank you. Love your work as journalist. You are definitely one of the good ones who can be trusted.

Do you think President Trump should instill huge fines to businesses who hire illegals and that if he does that, that it would take away reason illegals would come here in that way. Influencing them to come here Legally instead?

I would ask you do you feel guilty for helping Trump get elected, and how can you wake up each day as an American and not question his job performance. Just watch Sheppard, he's on Fox and he tells it down the middle

It the Press simply a group of "for profit" corporations or, is there some form of Press "organization" for self- oversight re ethics? And, is the Press as an industry taking any action to rehabilitate their image? If so, what. Thank you! I truly appreciate your professionalism and communication style

I have watched Fox News and you folks for years. One of your team made the comment, she felt the public really didn't care what Trump thinks, and the viewers as well didn't care. Please don't assume to know what people think. That is the one thing no one can take from us, other than freedom of speech. God Bless Pres. Trump and his cabinet, and God Bless America

Hi Harris! I love watching you and the other fab ladies on Outnumbered everyday! Very intriguing topics. What do you enjoy most about being a broadcast journalist and what would you say to someone who is very interested in becoming a journalist, but is a bit averse to presenting in front of large crowds?

I watch you everyday. Please tell me why no one ever asks the illegal immigrant advocates if they think the world should do away with passports and visas. Why would we need them if you can walk into any country that you want. Also, the townhall protesters were wearing ID tags last night. Interesting that they don't want "voter id" id laws. Hippocrits!!!

Hi I asked a question early in the question period that was not answered. It was a question that was serious and important but appears to have gone unanswered. I find it unfortunate that the difficult subject of trafficked women and children was overlooked and hope that one day journalists will speak out against crimes against women.

It seems like the first time we've had a chance to make a difference; why is "our team" dragging their feet and sabotaging everything about making those chances? McConnel, Ryan, the idiot McCain? Sorry Meghan, but he really is doing some really stupid stuff

Dear Harris, Thank you. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/02/24/ivanka-trump-pushes-white-house-agenda-human-trafficking/ Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, is pushing her father and the new White House administration to take legislative action on the issue of human trafficking, according to Axios. On Thursday afternoon, Donald Trump held a listening session on the issue, to greater understand the problem of women and girls who are trafficked into America, and then sexually exploited for profit. However, the issue was fast-tracked onto the agenda by Ivanka Trump, alongside Dina Powell, the White House senior counselor for economic initiatives. According to a source close to Axios, “Ivanka recommended the meeting to the president and he immediately agreed, given what a horrible issue it is in the U.S. and internationally.”

Hi Harris, I don't consider myself a Mogul but I do have a question for you. Why not have Kristin Powers or Lisa Boothe be the third person on the couch. Megyn McCain does not seem mature enough for this setting.
