Hi! I'm Laila Ali. I'm an athlete, fitness & wellness expert, TV host, cooking enthusiast, founder of the Laila Ali Lifestyle Brand, and mother of two. I'm the youngest daughter of the late beloved global icon and humanitarian, Muhammad Ali.

Following in my father's footsteps, I'm a two-time hall of famer and four-time undefeated boxing world champion, whose record includes 24 wins (21 of which were “knockouts”) and zero losses. I'm listed as the most successful female in the history of women’s boxing. In 2012, when women’s boxing was included in the Olympics for the first time in history, I was the first woman in history to provide expert commentary for NBC Sports.

As a cooking enthusiast, I previously appeared twice on Food Network’s celebrity edition of “Chopped” and emerged as the champion. Continuing my passion in the cooking space, I hosted the FYI Network food truck competition series “Late Night Chef Fight.” I've been a  guest on daytime shows such as Rachael Ray, The Chew, and I've prepared my famous “oven baked fried chicken” on Steve Harvey’s hit daytime talk show.

I'm the host of OWN Emmy award-winning series, “Home Made Simple” and the author of the best-selling cookbook, “Food For Life: Delicious & Healthy Comfort Food From My Table To Yours!” A major source of the inspiration for writing this particular cookbook was my desire to show people how they could enjoy healthier and more nutritious versions of their favorite foods without having to compromise taste.

Ignited by my passion for an active lifestyle and wanting to share this with my supporters, I created my own lifestyle blog LailaAliLifestyle.com where I regularly share personal workout regimens, recipes, DIY ideas, family tips, and so much more!

One of my favorite passion projects is the weekly “healthy lifestyle” podcast series I launched on the PodcastOne Network in 2017. I'm also the three-time host of the televised ESPN Sports Humanitarian Awards. I've been a regular contributor for the CBS Sports Network’s new all female sports commentary program, “We Need to Talk,” the first of its kind in the history of sports broadcasting.

For multiple seasons I hosted “Everyday Health” airing in national syndication on ABC, in addition to being the previous co-host of “American Gladiators” and former host of “All-In With Laila Ali,” which aired in weekend syndication on CBS.

I'm a past President of the Women’s Sports Foundation, a non-profit organization that is supported by many of the biggest athletes in the world. Through the WSF, I promote equality for women in the world of professional sports, and I'm an advocate for programs that encourage young women to be confident, healthy and strong through sports.

I was a major voice for the 40th anniversary of Title IX, which protects women’s rights to be included and treated equally in collegiate sports. Always eager to encourage others to live an active lifestyle, I was the 2012 “Mombassador” for the Aquaphor New York City Triathlon.

I also appeared as a guest-star on popular fitness shows, “Biggest Loser” and “The Revolution.” I had multiple hilarious roles as Kevin Hart’s boxing nemesis on the hit comedic series, “Real Husbands of Hollywood.” In 2014, I made my feature film-acting debut as the co-star of the action movie, “Falcon Rising,” opposite martial arts star, Michael Jai White.

Never one to turn down a good challenge, I made it to the final round of the fourth season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” in 2007.

With philanthropy at my core, I'm a major supporter of charitable organizations such as Feeding America, Children’s Hospital and Peace 4 Kids. I'm extremely proud of the work I've done on behalf of the American Dental Association to create oral health awareness for children and I'm equally proud to be an ongoing supporter and partner with the American Heart Association. This partnership supports my belief in being heart healthy and assists in the facilitation of much needed awareness about heart disease and strokes in communities most affected by these illnesses.

As an inspirational speaker and author, I've had keynoted speaking events at Harvard University, North Carolina A&T, and have spoken to thousands of executives at leadership conferences for multi-billion dollar corporate brands around the world. My life’s story is chronicled in a dynamic book for young women entitled “Reach!” which has just been re-released to the public.

I studied business management at Santa Monica College. I enjoy life in the Los Angeles area with my husband, former NFL star and current sports TV analyst, Curtis Conway, and my two young children, Curtis Jr. (son) and Sydney (daughter).

Now's your chance to ask me anything! Please write your questions in the comments section below and I'll answer the questions live on Tuesday, March 13th at 2pm ET.

Laila, do you have any advice about being big breasted?  How do you handle situations when a man is noticing your body?  Do you embrace it? Does it make you feel good to know that a man admires you?  Do you feel empowered?  As you can see by my previous post, I find it empowering to be an attractive woman with a nice body!  Just wondering your thoughts?  Thanks Laila!

Hi @Laila Ali! Very excited to have you answering questions! I have a couple to ask.

Do you still box as a way to stay fit/healthy or even just for leisure? Also have your kids expressed interests in wanting to pursue boxing? If they did, would you encourage them to? Were your parents encouraging of you pursuing boxing when you first expressed interest?

Hi! Yes I still hit the heavy bag as part of my workout. It’s a great full body exercise and I enjoy it! My kids have not showed interest, which I am happy about. I rather them not box, because it’s such a dangerous sport. My dad tried to talk me out of boxing but obviously it didn’t work. Lol!

First I'm very excited that you have joined Mogul at this time to answer our questions; you and your father are inspirations and leaders to a lot of people including myself and I think you both are Moguls in your own right. My first questions is: How do you maintain confidence in an environment that can be uncomfortable? For example, in the workplace on TV, or when you were in the ring.

My second question is, do you have any advice for someone who is young and scared to take risks, maybe they want to move out too soon or change jobs and there is a lack of security?

Hello! There are many times when I am not not comfortable or 100 percent confident in a new work environment wether it’s on a new show or at the start of a new endeavor. But I always remind myself that in order to progress in life and get better, I must sometimes be uncomfortable in order to get comfortable again. There will be times when you have to force yourself to try new things. But I will say that my confidence comes from preparation...so you should always prepare yourself as best as you can going into any situation.  Do your research, practice and get advice from those who have more knowledge or experience in that particular area than you do.  Don’t be afraid to make mistakes along the way, that’s how we ALL learn.

I have BIG BOOBS and I do not want to get a breast reduction.  Thus, I have nobody to blame because it is natural for a man to want to look at me.  I do not flaunt my boobs but they are obviously noticeable.  This is a dilemma because I enjoy having natural big boobs and they are great for sexual reasons too!  However, it is a double edged sword because I realize that people are going to look at my breasts first because of their large size.  Again, I do not blame men for looking because that is the way that I was created.  Actually, it is kind of nice for a man to look at me and admire me.  I suppose this is the reason why so many women get "breast enhancement" because they want to be noticed.  Thus, if a woman is big breasted then she should not get upset if a man notices "the girls".

    Hi Laila,
One more question please.  I am considering posing for Playboy or another men's magazine.  I think you previously posed for Playboy?  Did you enjoy that experience?  By the way, it looks like you are still in great shape.  Thus, would you consider posing again for Playboy?  As you know, a lot of professional athletes have posed naked for Sports Illustrated.  Thus, I think it is a beautiful experience for women to pose naked (as many do).  The female body is beautiful!

Hi! You must decide what your goals are in your personal and private life. Then  prioritize them. Set boundaries for yourself and other people and then stick to them.  It’s not always easy but keeping track of your goals and making sure your taking steps towards them daily helps. Make sure you are also taking time for your private life and the things you enjoy.

Hi @Laila Ali! Thank you for answering our questions! Would love to know what your diet/nutrition plan is and what you'd recommend for people on the go that's easy as a daily plan (and for someone who does mostly just cardio on a daily basis)?

Hi! I focus on clean balanced eating. Lean protein, lots of veggies and a good amount of healthy fats. Water intake is also very important. What really works well for me is having  at least one protein shake every day. I put greens, berries and other super foods in there to make sure my body is getting the nutrition it needs without having to over think it. I have great recipes for meals and shakes is my cookbook Food For Life.

How long did you train for boxing before stepping into the ring for your first match? Who was the toughest opponent that you ever faced?

Hi Laila, what is it like being the daughter of Mr. Ali? Was it a lot of pressure growing up in a famous household? If so, how did you deal with it and how does it impact you now?

Hi,  I wouldn’t say it was hard or there was a lot of pressure but I definitely have a different outlook on people and life. From the inside looking out, you see all the ways people treat you differently or try to get close to you because they want something.

Luckily,  my father did a good job teaching us about people, life, etc. and helped us build a strong foundation. I’m very comfortable with who I am so I can deal with pretty much deal with anything that comes my way. 😎

Switch it up. Try circuit training, cycle training or HITT workouts.  You have to shock your body and do something it doesn’t expect from time to time.
