Hi, my name is Mandy Ree and I am an up and coming disability rights activist, self advocate, and writer for several websites, most notable for my posts on The Mighty, as well as guest blog posts on Easterseals Thrive, Two Thirds of The Planet, and the Let's Think Again campaign. I also blog on my own site Legally Blind Bagged and will be doing my first public speaking engagement at the Advocates in Action Statewide Self Advocacy conference in Providence RI October 27th.
Self Advocacy is the very thing that I am most passionate about, aside from my obsession with 80's pop culture and anything animated. I was born legally blind and have PTSD from the constant bullying I endured as a kid, and all my life I fought hard to break the stigma society has put on me, while still being my nerdy self. My goal is to help others going through the same thing learn that they have a voice and don't have to let disability or mental illness hold them back from making their dreams come true.
Now's your chance to ask me anything! Please write your questions in the comments section below and I'll answer the questions live on Sunday, October 16th beginning at 2pm ET.
It's part of Mogul's new interactive Q &A sessions, Ask A Mogul Anything.
