Our school is known for giving random four-day breaks in the beginning of each semester before we get swamped by endless prelims.
The four-day break, aka the February break, is coming up real soon, and here are some places that you can visit:
1. Ithaca Commons
The Commons is so close yet far.
I recommend to try some food at Asia Cuisine and Taste of Thai. If you're a book person like me, definitely visit Autumn Leaves Used Bookstore.
Of course, there are many other places to visit, so be sure to go to the Commons!
SIDE-NOTE: All full-time Cornell undergrads can ride TCAT for free on the weekend!
2. New York, New York
Tired of our small city, Ithaca? Then go to New York!
I went to the city during last semester’s four-day weekend with some of my closest friends, and we had a blast. We booked a place to stay in via AirBnB.
Here are some of places that we went:
BCD Tofu House
Spot Dessert Bar
Go Go Curry!
- Meatpacking District
3. Destiny USA at Syracuse
Destiny USA is the largest mall in the U.S. There are over 250 places to dine, shop, and hang out with your friends and family. If you want to grab something delicious or go shopping, go to this mall!
SIDE-NOTE: You can go to the mall via bus, but I recommend asking for rides from Cornellians who have a car. It’s way cheaper, faster, and more comfortable.
What’s your plan for February break?
