If attending seminars or lectures that will help you get ahead, if there is
the opportunity, participate by asking questions or making valid points.
Participation is a great way to remember what is being taught.
I recall from my youth teachers giving to us a % of our grade for participation. They knew then if we participated in the conversation in the class room we would remember what they were teaching. I love seeing kids in seminars or lectures maybe because I have a child of my own, I love seeing their lack of fear when it comes to getting on stage to talk to hundreds of people.
For myself I can get on stage at church and have no fear because as a child I started singing in front of the church and others. Growing up I was in choir fear of singing is not something I ever had. Now fear speaking is something I do have. When it started I don’t know. I shake and worry I will do everything all sorts of wrong. As a child I didn’t speak in front of people that is why I love seeing it done by children who don’t know to have a fear.
