The Medair New York Gala brought together a cross-section of artists, designers, and other creatives to support the organization’s work empowering women across the globe to drive change in their communities and provide their children with a better future. The elegant black-tie event featured a cocktail reception, silent auction, seated dinner, and live auction by Sotheby’s. Auctions featured work by leading street artists including Shepard Fairey, Logan Hicks, WhIsBe, Phoebe New York, Thrashbird, fnnch, WRDSMTH, and more. The live auction also included an exclusive luxury timepiece by Hublot. All artwork was curated by Photographer and Filmmaker Luca Babini in partnership with Sarah Sperling of Goldman Global Arts, Thomas Allen of Fillin Global, and Ben Lau of Just-a-Spectator. The Gala raised funds for a range of emergency relief and recovery services including: maternal and reproductive health care, health and hygiene education for mothers and caretakers, screening and treatment for acute malnutrition in children, preventive health care for children, and gender-based violence prevention. Special tributes were made to several brave women whose lives have been transformed because of their involvement with Medair.
