About me
An aspiring physician, Annie Hoang is a health and patient advocate, particularly in the area of women’s health and reproductive rights. Coming from an immigrant family of multiethnic descent, she is keenly interested in the intersection of health disparities with sex, gender, and cultural identity. She wants to commit her work to bridging the gap between the scientific advances and actual service of treatment by strengthening the gender and human rights dimensions of policies. She has conducted women's health research in Vietnam and has worked with diverse patient populations in the United States. Annie holds a B.S. from Yale University and has completed graduate coursework in public policy and international affairs at UC Berkeley.
