About me
Amy Bethea is a seasoned publishing professional with decades of educational and publishing experience to her credit. Ms. Bethea has worked for major book publishers and stock photo houses over the past 23 years. She has managed, with keen oversight, the development of hundreds of book and online programs in both the editorial and art capacities in a variety of subject areas and grade levels. Ms. Bethea has worked extensively with Scholastic Inc., on several key projects, such as the Animals in Order, America The Beautiful, and Enchantment of the World book series. She also has an extensive medical publishing background, working regularly with companies such as Pearson and Wolters Kluwer on high stakes nursing and allied health products both online and print. Other notable accomplishments include designing and photo researching an automobile exhibit for Samsung Transportation Museum in Japan, numerous business, science, language, and psychology books for a variety of publishers.
Most recently, Ms. Bethea co-founded Lifelong Media, a company focused on bringing edutainment into the academic and clinical worlds. Through the use of social emotional learning and game-based activities, Ms. Bethea and her team are developing a host of products geared for learners of all ages to hone in on their soft skills. Upcoming projects include Project Nightingale (www.ourprojectnightingale.com) which will feature a rich set of resources for nurses and allied health professionals to support them throughout the life of their careers.
